Yehudit Barsky is director of AJC's Division on Middle East and International Terrorism. The Division monitors extremist publications and websites. It provides detailed analyses and briefings on Middle East extremist organizations and their supporters in the United States. The Division publishes Counter Terrorism Watch, a web-based resource designed to inform and educate professionals and the general public about international terrorism and efforts to contain it. Ms. Barsky is the author of AJC's Series on Terrorism, which includes reports on Al-Qa`ida, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad.
Ms. Barsky regularly briefs media, law enforcement agencies and Jewish communities on the implications of terrorism on U.S. policy. In addition to her work at AJC, she is an associate scholar at the Foreign Policy Research Institute's Middle East Council. Fluent in Arabic and Hebrew, Ms. Barsky holds a master's degree in international relations and Near Eastern studies and a bachelor's degree in international relations and Jewish history and civilization, both from New York University. She is currently writing a book on Hamas.
