Darfur Now portrays the struggle of six individuals brought together by the crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan. The motion picture shows how one humanitarian worker in Sudan can ensure that thousands receive food each day, and how one young activist from California can lead the campaign to ensure that US public funds do not support Sudan’s regime. Join their campaign to protect Darfur’s innocent civilians.

		60 Seconds of Action DEMAND NOW: Send a postcard to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urging the UN to hold accountable all perpetrators of violence against civilians. SIGN NOW: Endorse the petition to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Security Council members urging them to demand Sudan arrest all perpetrators of violence. ADVOCATE NOW: Call on the Congress to pass important legislation that would ensure no US dollars are helping perpetrate the ongoing crisis in Darfur

		60 Minutes of Action CALL NOW: Dial 1-800-GENOCIDE to receive talking points on current Darfur legislation and to contact elected officials to tell them to Protect Darfur Now. SEND NOW: Write a letter to world leaders urging them to demand Ahmed Haroun’s arrest and Sudanese compliance with international law. PUBLICIZE NOW: Spread the word about Darfur Now. CONTRIBUTE NOW: Darfuri refugees gathering firewood often subject themselves to attacks, rape, torture, and even murder at the hands of roving militias. Help protect them by providing solar cookers.
