Geri Krauss is a practicing attorney and mediator focusing on issues related to professional partnerships, and also specializes in employment law. She also defends law firms and lawyers in malpractice, sanctions, malicious prosecution and contract matters. Prior to founding her own firm, Krauss PLLC, she was a partner at Herrick, Feinstein, LLP, where she chaired the firm’s Professional Practices Group and was a member of its Litigation department. Ms. Krauss is a member of the Committee on Character and Fitness for the Ninth Judicial District and has served on the Committee on Professional Responsibility of the New York City Bar Association. She is a member of the American Bar Association, NY State Women’s Bar Association and the Westchester Women’s Bar Association.
Ms. Krauss’ practice also focuses on mediation and arbitration. She is on the S.D.N.Y. Mediation Panel, The Mediation Panel for the New York Supreme Court Commercial Division, and on the panel of Arbitrators for the New York Sate Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Resolution Program. She has appeared as a guest commentator on legal issue on various television and radio shows and frequently writes and speaks on topics involving law firms and other professional practices.
She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. She resides in Katonah with her husband Daniel Krauss, has served on the board of directors of Bet Torah Synagogue and in her free time enjoys traveling and reading.
