|Bill was born in Brooklyn and received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree from Cornell University. After a brief career as a "rocket scientist," he went to Washington, DC and worked as a Patent Examiner in the U.S. Patent Office while obtaining his law degree from American University. Thereafter, he returned to New York and has been an IP attorney ever since. He was a partner in the IP boutique firm of Curtis, Morris & Safford, and in 1997 started his own firm of Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLP. They have grown from 17 lawyers to over 70; and still limit their practice to Intellectual Property. He has been a lecturer at various professional seminars, conferences and workshops. Prior to joining AJC, he was a board member of Altro, a member of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies. Bill was the head of Altro's Workshop Committee until Altro was dissolved (there no longer was an overwhelming need for assistance to New York Jews recuperating from tuberculosis, the underlying basis and charter of Altro). He has lived in Bedford Corners for more than 30 years with Karen, where they raised Hillary.
