  Save The Date

AJC Westchester’s 3rd
Annual Energy Independence Day event (EID III)
October 24, 2011 @ 7:30pm
Congregation Sons of Israel, Briarcliff Manor, NY

EID III will focus on how to eliminate the US dependence on oil and on Israel's recent and ongoing efforts to develop an “Oil Alternatives Industry”

Yossie Hollander, a well-known American/Israeli entrepreneur and investor in the high tech sector, will be the keynote speaker at EID III. Among his philanthropic activities, Yossie initiated the alternative energy initiative at the Weitzman Institute of Science; is working with the Cornell Center for Sustainable Future and is involved in many other research, policy and investments in the field of alternative energy.

Yossie is a key founder of the Fuel Freedom Project, which is the largest national initiative to end the US oil addiction. Among other topics, Mr. Hollander, Chairman of the Israel Institute for Economic Planning (IEP), will describe the components of the oil independence plan that has been devised by IEP, the Israeli government, private industry and Israeli academia.

EID III will also feature an Israel energy innovation fair which will give those in attendance a chance to speak firsthand with some of the creators and sponsors of Israel's energy independence works in progress. As it did in the technology boom of recent years, Israel is leading the way in various facets of alternative energy technology - a model for the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Educate yourself on how to achieve US independence from oil and take pride in what Israel is doing and learn what you can do to help break the grip of foreign oil. Join us at this important and exciting event
