AJC Celebrates Highly Successful 2013 Campaign

AJC is There - thanks to you. Your generosity has helped AJC complete a highly successful 2013 campaign. We are delighted to end the year close to the $50 million mark.

Our campaign's success will empower AJC's unparalleled global Jewish advocacy in 2014. AJC is There when and where it matters most. We work nonstop to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel and to advance human dignity and democratic values for all.

We deeply appreciate the thousands of gifts we received from you, our supporters and friends. Each and every one of your gifts made a meaningful difference in our 2013 campaign.

All these gifts enabled our many accomplishments in 2013. Among them:

  • The EU's designation of Hezbollah's "military wing" as a terrorist group, which had long been a priority issue for AJC and for which several European leaders credited our efforts;
  • Israel's inclusion in the Western European and Others Group (WEOG) in Geneva, part of an ongoing effort that AJC launched exactly 20 years ago to correct Israel's anomalous status in the UN as the only nation excluded from one of the five all-powerful regional blocs;
  • Greece's assertive efforts to pursue the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn Party as a criminal enterprise, after Prime Minister Samaras, at an AJC event in his honor in New York, announced his aim of "deracinating" the group;
  • The opening of the Advanced Technology Park in Beersheva, as a result of an AJC Project Interchange mission that led one participant to develop this $2 billion high-technology project;

  • Rapid growth in our social media efforts, including today's total of nearly 50,000 Facebook and 25,000 Twitter followers;
  • A record 84 meetings in the span of less of than two weeks with presidents, prime ministers, and foreign ministers visiting New York for the opening of the UN General Assembly;
  • A total of 24 AJC Project Interchange missions to Israel, including university presidents, French Muslim representatives, African leaders, and U.S. Latino dignitaries;
  • The expansion of AJC's prize-winning young leadership program, ACCESS, now operating in 12 U.S. regional offices and Israel, which has attracted thousands of young Jews.

These achievements aim to advance the values so important to us all. And they were made possible only because of your generosity.

Thank you so much for your continuing support and friendship.
