The Harriet and Robert Heilbrunn Institute for International Interreligious Affairs

Since AJC’s founding, interfaith relations has been a key priority, both as the appropriate avenue of communication for a religious community with other religious communities, and as the vehicle for combating prejudice and promoting human rights and dignity.

AJC maintains and advances relations with world religious authorities – in the case of Christianity, this includes the Vatican, the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Anglican Communion/Archbishop of Canterbury's office, as well as with the leading and umbrella bodies of other religions, nationally and internationally.

The Harriet and Robert Heilbrunn Institute is the primary vehicle for facilitating these goals internationally through high-level conferences and meetings. In recent years, these have taken place on four continents involving bilateral and multi-faith events.

Rabbi David Rosen is the Director of the Heilbrunn Institute. For more information about the Heilbrunn Institute and its programs, you may contact him at rosend@ajc.org.
