Belfer Center

The Arthur and Rochelle Belfer Center for American Pluralism advances the fundamental national values of pluralism, democracy and social cohesion. It builds and sustains relationships with diverse ethnic and national groups to further mutual understanding and respect, and ensure the security and well-being of all groups. These relationships deepen AJC’s impact on public policies of importance to the Jewish community, our partners and America, by developing coalitions for joint advocacy. The Center implements and facilitates programs, workshops and issue-oriented task forces nationally and supports the intergroup work of AJC’s regional offices.

On February 18th, Mr. Robert Belfer, a founder of AJC's Belfer Center for American Pluralism, was recognized with the AJC National Human Relations Award in Palm Beach, FL for his lifelong commitment to human dignity. Participating in the program were Ambassador Dennis Ross and AJC Executive Director David Harris.
