For many who've never visited
Israel, their image is often formed by the media.
But the media don't always
tell the full story.
To the contrary, as the
saying goes, "If it doesn’t bleed, it doesn't lead."
But the reality of Israel is
Each year, we at AJC take
many high-level groups from around the world to Israel.
For most participants, it's
their first visit.
They see just about
everything and hear many points of view.
Some typical comments from
"I had no idea the country
was so beautiful."
"I was amazed to see such a
diversity of people – of so many religions, backgrounds, and ethnicities."
"Israel's regional situation
is far more complex than I ever realized. Now I understand there are no easy,
off−the−shelf answers in Israel’s neighborhood."
"What a vibrant democracy – a
feisty media and political parties galore."
