There’s a wonderful
expression – “Where you stand depends on where you sit.”
What if you’re the prime
minister of a democratic country the size of New Jersey?
But instead of peaceful
neighbors like New York and Pennsylvania, you have very different neighbors.
One is Syria, where a brutal
war has raged for three years.
Over 150,000 people have
been killed and millions turned into refugees.
Another is Lebanon.
There, a terrorist group,
Hezbollah, has an arsenal of over 100,000 missiles and rockets, many
deliberately placed in civilian population centers.
A third neighbor is Gaza.
It’s in the grip of another
terrorist group, Hamas.
Like Hezbollah, it calls for
And a fourth country, Iran,
lies just beyond the horizon.
Its leaders openly seek your
death – and the weapons and delivery systems to accomplish it.
When you understand Israel’s
neighborhood, you understand Israel.
