There’s a wonderful expression – “Where you stand depends on where you sit.”

What if you’re the prime minister of a democratic country the size of New Jersey?

But instead of peaceful neighbors like New York and Pennsylvania, you have very different neighbors.

One is Syria, where a brutal war has raged for three years.

Over 150,000 people have been killed and millions turned into refugees.

Another is Lebanon.

There, a terrorist group, Hezbollah, has an arsenal of over 100,000 missiles and rockets, many deliberately placed in civilian population centers.

A third neighbor is Gaza.

It’s in the grip of another terrorist group, Hamas.

Like Hezbollah, it calls for your destruction.

And a fourth country, Iran, lies just beyond the horizon.

Its leaders openly seek your death – and the weapons and delivery systems to accomplish it.

When you understand Israel’s neighborhood, you understand Israel.
