AJC Enraged by Moscow Synagogue Attack

January 11, 2006 New York – The American Jewish Committee expressed deep concerns over the attack at Bonnaya Synagogue today in Moscow where reportedly at least six people were stabbed by a 20-year old man.

 

AJC extends its prayers to Rabbi Yitzak Kogan and the other wounded for a speedy and complete recovery. AJC calls on the authorities in Russia to move expeditiously to thoroughly investigate the crime, to prosecute those involved in the attack, and to redouble efforts to combat anti-Semitism and assure the safety of Jews and Jewish institutions.
