We owe a lot to visionaries.
To those who can visualize a better tomorrow and make it happen.
Shai Agassi is one such person.
We invited him to speak at AJC 18 months ago. He electrified the audience—quite literally.
His vision is a world dominated by electric vehicles. He’s passionate and persuasive. And he’s making real progress.
This week, the New York Times featured him in a major profile.
Agassi is from Israel. He’s an engineer with Silicon Valley experience.
He’s partnered with two leading carmakers, who’ll be making the battery-operated vehicles.
He expects to build the first 50 battery recharging stations in Israel by next year.
And he’s already signed deals with Australia, Canada, Denmark, and Japan, as well as in California and Hawaii.
Imagine a world where oil and polluting emissions are relics of the past.
Thanks to visionaries like Shai Agassi, that world may not be so far off.
