It’s a new year.
That means new resolutions.
Usually near the top of the list is dieting.
How about New Year’s resolutions for our country?
Dieting fits in perfectly as a matter of fact.
I mean energy dieting.
By doing so, we hit the trifecta.
We help America’s national security, because our petrodollars to countries that hate us decline.
We help the environment, because we do less damage to the air we breathe.
And we help the economy, because more dollars stay here at home.
President John F. Kennedy famously said, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”
By the decisions we make – what vehicle to buy, whether to go it alone or carpool, whether to use public transportation or our car, what temperature to set the thermostat, and more – we make a statement.
Let’s make the right statement.
For the sake of our country. For the sake of our future.
Happy New Year to one and all!
