Intern

San Francisco, CA
LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

Founded in 1906, AJC seeks to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel and to advance human rights and democratic values in the United States and around the world. In addition to its New York headquarters and Office of Government and International Affairs in Washington, D.C., AJC has regional offices and affiliates across the U.S. and overseas in addition to a multitude of global partnerships.

Among Jewish organizations, AJC is the preeminent leader in the global arena. With a presence in Belgium, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Switzerland and Brazil, AJC’s network of relationships with, and access to, the key decision makers and thought leaders on every continent is unmatched. AJC is recognized by foreign leaders, the Israeli and U.S. governments as an effective and trusted interlocutor for Jewish issues, human rights and advocacy for democratic values. Today, AJC proactively tackles the greatest concerns of Jewish communities around the globe.

An AJC San Francisco intern will work on a variety of projects specifically related to ACCESS and the outreach initiative that is happening in 2013 with our emerging leaders. S/he will use social media especially, but will also be asked to use other programs to create flyers, communications, and advertising as necessary.

An AJC SF intern would also work to advance the goals of the office by helping to plan logistics for a myriad of programming topics like energy security, business and technology, and diplomatic visits among others. S/he will assist with communications, coordinating meetings, organizing, programming and other related tasks. S/he would also assist in an archival project that will chronicle and highlight the work of AJC SF through the years both online in the public sphere and possibly in a ‘look book.’

An AJC SF intern would also help to plan and coordinate a capstone program to conclude in August 2013. The program would be one that would highlight the work of the internship over the summer and also one that would highlight the diplomatic corps.

AJC offers transportation reimbursement. This is an unpaid internship.
