The graphics team in the Marketing and Strategic Communications Department seeks an energetic and highly capable Print and Web Graphic Designer to work hand-in-hand with AJC’s Art Director and Print Production Manager.

The Print and Web Graphic Designer is responsible for providing contemporary and outstanding design and production of a variety of print and web projects, including, but not limited to, newsletters, development invitations, training materials, brochures, journals, as well as web design for websites, email campaigns, micro web sites and social media.

Responsibilities include:


  • Interpret copy and provide visual recommendations by working closely with the Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications and the Art Director in developing a variety of designs that clearly reflect the message in an easy, understandable and visual format that is both informative and motivating to the reader
  • Design for various print projects such as brochures, newsletters, postcards, invitations, logos, etc.
  • Organize and capture all visual requirements necessary to complete each aspect of a printed piece, including, but not limited to, searching for archived imagery, researching online stock photography houses and requesting potential new photography
  • Oversee changes to all design pieces ensuring images are correct and copy corrections are made properly so that correct content is maintained throughout production
  • Ensure the final creative-related deliverables are completed in a timely manner and on schedule
  • Prepare final printer-ready files, submit to printers and archive files appropriately



  • Design web banners (multiple sizes and locations), assist in web and social media updates of content, images and videos
  • Design and create email and e-promotion templates, as well as load and deploy via AJC’s content management system (Sphere)
  • Develop and build HTML landing pages and participate in building and design of microsites
  • Create social media images as requested
  • Troubleshoot and proof functionality to ensure all work is properly loaded



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design or Visual Communications
  • Three to five years of experience in print and website design
  • Knowledge of web production standards
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Willingness to learn new web solutions and programs as required for digital strategies
  • Ability to act with a high degree of integrity, autonomy and independence
  • Solid organizational skills with capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others to create a cooperative, successful team environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in group settings
