There’s a Yiddish word that’s become popular in English.

It’s chutzpah, which means “nerve” or “presumptuousness.”

Here’s the winner of AJC’s 2013 Chutzpah Award.

It goes to Iranian President Rouhani.

This is what he tweeted a few days ago:

“Countries that provide arms & training to terrorists have created [a] crisis in the region and will eventually [be] caught in their support of terrorism.”

President Rouhani, who’s kidding whom? Iran tops by far the list of those countries.

From supporting Hezbollah, which has murdered Americans, to arming and training Assad’s killing machine in Syria, Iran is culprit #1.

And how about Iran’s meddling in Iraq, Bahrain, and Yemen, support for Hamas, and terrorist activity in Argentina and Africa? The list goes on.

President Rouhani, I have news for you: We’re not all as gullible as you seem to think.

Chutzpah, indeed!
