The majority of Europe's Jews today see anti-semitism as their greatest social and political problem; Not unemployment, crime, or corruption—but anti-Semitism. As the Institute for Jewish Policy Research rightly notes: “If fears continue to grow among this small and aging population, it is likely that only a small remnant will remain. For all of Europe's claims of promoting a culture of liberalism, tolerance, and human rights, the experiences of the continent's oldest minority stand in sharp contrast to these aspirations. It's time to start asking why." Please join us for a timely conversation that will explore the "whys". Why is anti-Semitism in Europe increasing? Why is the viability of Europe’s Jewish communities, of which some have had roots on the continent for over 2,000 years being threatened? Why this is relevant for us as Americans, as we witness anti-Semitism rising in our own country?
